ABOUT S.A.M

Secret Agent Man is a location based bluetooth game.

Developed by Jon Reid and Gary Smith at the University of Wales Newport.

This was one of our first year projects. We created this game based around the idea of immersing a player into a world where they would play our game.

For this project, we created costumes, props and other things to help immerse the player.

The game was based around a mobile phone. We created a custom application that scanned for specific bluetooth devices. Each device was placed in a different area, when a device was found a clue was revealed on the phone whose answer was the next location.

We themed the game around the spy film genre to make it entertaining, interesting and far different to usual location based games.
