Beyond was creted in Flash and AS3. I used a few code libraries to help me out initially. MultiFLARExample from squidder.com and papervision3D, a 3D engine for flash.

I used saqoosha’s example of the hole in the wall to create the main effect.

With the hardware I used video display glasses borrowed from my tutor, a small webcam, also borrowed, an LED array, an Asus EEEPCand a pc to tv converter.

The markers were printed on A3 and spray mounted to foamboard. this itself produces very unreliable markers in a real wolrd situation as they are too shiny. So, to combat this I used spray on artists fixative which stops the ink being so reflective and gives a more matt finish to the marker. By doing this, the makers worked much better and I would sugest this to anyone creating an Augmented Reality project that is to be used in a public space.
